A unified QR code —
is a universal payment code that works in any banking or payment application. Businesses do not need to adapt to the customer’s bank, and customers do not need to use a card — they simply scan the code with their phone and confirm the payment.
How does a unified QR code work?
It’s simple: the customer scans the code using their banking or payment app, for example Garant bank or Payme, enters the amount, and confirms the payment. That’s it — the money is instantly transferred to your bank account.
You can track all payments made via the code in the bank app where the unified QR is connected.
1. Place the QR code at the checkout counter, on a stand, or display it from your phone.
2. The customer scans the code using any banking app or payment service.
3. The customer confirms the payment.
4. The funds are credited to your bank account.
What is the purpose of unified QR code payments for businesses?
Contactless online payment helps accept payments in a wider range of situations and reduces the time spent on the payment process.
You can accept payments without a terminal.
There is no need to buy a POS device. It is enough to place the code wherever it is convenient: at the checkout, on the counter, on the door, or on a website. You can also show it from your phone if you provide on-site services.
Payments are easier to control.
Payments made via the unified QR are credited to your bank account and displayed in the app or online banking of the bank where it is connected. For example, if you have a QR code connected through Garant bank, all payments will be visible in your personal account on the website.
Lower costs for equipment.
When using a POS terminal, there are usually expenses for purchase or rental, as well as maintenance conditions, plus payment processing fees. With QR payments, there is also a commission, but no equipment or maintenance is required.
It is possible to issue multiple unified QR codes for different locations or use cases.
If you already have a unified QR code in another bank, you can also connect it in Garant Bank to compare conditions and choose the option that suits you best.
How to connect a unified QR code in Garant bank?
Connecting payment via QR code scanning is simple:
Open a bank account in Garant bank. The unified QR code is linked to a settlement account, so you first need to register and open an account in Garant Bank.
Go to the «Payment Acceptance» section. This is where tools for receiving payments from customers are connected.
Select the «Unified QR» service and click «Create. » The system will ask you to fill out a short form. After that, the QR code will be generated, and you can start accepting payments immediately. The code can be shared with customers and employees.
The bank will deliver a physical QR code plaque to you free of charge.
How much does it cost to connect QR code payments?
Connecting, issuing, and delivering a physical unified QR code plaque is free of charge.
What are the fees for payments?
A promotional offer for QR payments is available at Garant bank:
The commission is 0.65% of the transaction amount. The calculation starts from the moment the QR code is connected.
The promotion applies to the client, not to a specific QR code. If you have issued several QR codes for different locations, the preferential conditions apply to all your QR codes. However, the promotion period is counted from the date the first QR code was connected.
For example, if you connected the first QR code in February and the second in March, the 0% commission will also apply to the second one, but it will end at the same time as the first one, according to the promotion period.
The connection of a unified QR code will become a mandatory requirement for businesses. From July 1, fines of up to 5 million UZS may be applied for not having a unified QR code, so it is more convenient to set it up in advance.
