Unified QR code now available for businesses at Garant bank

Uzbekistan continues to roll out the Unified QR Code, a new standard for accepting cashless payments introduced at the initiative of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Unified QR Code enables businesses to accept payments from customers using any banking or payment application. To make a payment, customers simply open the Garant bank app or any other participating banking app, scan the QR code, and confirm the transaction.

Connecting the Unified QR Code through Garant bank is completely free of charge. Businesses also receive a branded QR code display for their point of sale at no cost, including delivery.

The Unified QR Code allows merchants to accept payments without a POS terminal, receive funds directly into their business account, and conveniently track transactions.

To activate the service, customers must have a business current account with Garant bank and apply for a QR code through the “Payment Acceptance” section.
